The J.A. Roby Chief Wood Burning Cookstove combines traditional wood-fired cooking with dependable home heating in a classic freestanding design. It is designed to heat spaces from approximately 1,000 to 1,800 sq. ft. while providing multiple cooking and food-preparation features.
With a maximum heating capacity of up to 70,000 BTU using dry cordwood, the Chief offers both warmth and practical everyday functionality. It includes a built-in oven with glass door, upper food warmer, and a stainless-steel water tank with faucet.
Three removable covers on the cooktop provide convenient access for wood-fired cooking, while the refractory brick-lined firebox and stainless-steel secondary air system support efficient combustion.
